Dear God,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
I don't have words to describe how special last weekend was! It was my birthday weekend and I honestly thought it would be like my last few 5 birthdays: uneventful.
But it wasn't... It was so special, so different, so surprising! I received so many special gifts, like books, a ring, a perfume, etc... But most importantly, I received the most important thing of all: YOU. You revealed yourself to me in such a way that was unfamiliar for me before, you revealed yourself to me as MY FATHER, who's interested in every little detail of your kid's life. I cannot believe this!
You pampered me in every possible way, you filled me with love and friendship, and you WASHED MY FEET... I certainly hadn't seen that one coming... Yes, but you did:you washed my feet, literally... and I... cried, cried, cried, like a baby, who's ashamed of what he/she has done.... I was so afraid I couldn't even look at You! HOW COULD YOU WASH MY FILTHY FEET? There's absolutely nothing pure about my life, the opposite is what lies within my soul... and yet, watching you bending down to wash my feet.... I have certainly acquired a new understanding of whom you are. You're humble, and holy, and perfect, and lovely, and simple, and majestic, and pure, and awesome, and worthy... And I'm nothing! You're the King of everything! And I'm the most unstable person in the world... You're a ROCK, the Rock of my Salvation and I'm speck of dust in this planet. Even when I try to sound humble I am proud, and you, even when you show yourself in all your majesty, you're humble! WOW, WHAT CAN BE COMPARED TO YOUR GLORY????
You filled me with material presents and spiritual revelations, you made me feel like I matter to you, in spite of all my flaws...
God, I thank you now and I'll thank you forever, for revealing yourself to me in a brand new way!
I'm even starting to feel comfortable enough to genuinely call you... ABBA.
