God´s calling is IRREVOCABLE

I wish I had something nice and inspiring to post today, but I don't...
I wish I could tell you how easy it is to become a Christian and follow Jesus' ways because I would be lying if I told you it's easy and that wouldn't be fair...

Being a TRUE, REAL Christian is very HARD.... Simply because, once you get to know Jesus DEEPLY, YOU CAN´T GO BACK. You can try to forget about it for a while and try to live your old life again, but, the thing is that God's calling is IRREVOCABLE, that means that sooner or later, He will draw us back.

I´m not talking about people who claim to be Christians but don't even believe in resurrection, which is pointless, after all, THE RESURRECTION IS THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OF CHRISTIANITY. Like Paul said, if he didn't believe in resurection, we might as well deny all the rest of his faith.
It's just not simple and beautiful like some people say, mainly because we´re humans and thus inclined toward SIN and SELFISHNESS.
But one thing I can tell you...
At the same time it's painful, it's also LIBERATING. When you start learning to give up your rights and pleasures, you also learn how to love people unconditionally.
This is my AIM, my GOAL.
I want to learn how to love people the same way I love my daughter. I would give my life for her, but I would definitely NOT give up my life for anyone else.
JESUS gave up His life for us so that we could live eternally.
He didn't have to. He himself said to the Roman guards that they shouldn 't worry- He was turning himself in.
So, I'm glad that even though I starting posting that I didn't have anything nice to write, in fact, I did.
It is the beauty of the cross that I have described above.



Dei-lhes a tua palavra, e o mundo os odiou, porque não são do mundo, assim como eu não sou do mundo. Não peço que os tires do mundo, mas que os livres do mal.
Não são do mundo, como eu do mundo não sou.
Santifica-os na tua verdade; a tua palavra é a verdade.

E não rogo somente por estes, mas também por aqueles que pela sua palavra hão de crer em mim;
Para que todos sejam um, como tu, ó Pai, o és em mim, e eu em ti; que também eles sejam um em nós, para que o mundo creia que tu me enviaste. João 17:14-19
